Job Description
Radiography Technologist, also known as a Radiologic Technologist, specializes in capturing diagnostic images using X-rays, CT scans, and other imaging technologies. They play a vital role in assisting physicians by providing clear and accurate images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures as per physician’s instructions.
- Position patients correctly to obtain optimal imaging results.
- Ensure patient safety by minimizing radiation exposure.
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment regularly.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately.
- Collaborate with medical staff to interpret imaging results.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations in imaging procedures.
Skill & Experience
- Proficiency in operating diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to position patients effectively for imaging procedures.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and protection protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with patients and medical staff.
- Attention to detail in documenting and interpreting imaging results.
