Microbiology Technician
Job Description
Microbiology Technician performs laboratory tests to identify microorganisms, support disease diagnosis, ensure quality control, maintain sterile environments, and assist research teams in hospitals, clinics, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, label, and process biological specimens
- Perform culture, staining, and sensitivity tests
- Maintain sterile laboratory environment and equipment
- Operate microscopes and automated diagnostic instruments
- Record, analyze, and report laboratory findings
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory testing instruments
- Assist in research and quality assurance.
Skill & Experience
- Strong knowledge of microbiology laboratory techniques
- Proficiency in sample handling and testing
- Attention to detail and analytical accuracy
- Understanding of infection control procedures
- Ability to follow strict laboratory protocols
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
