Job Description
Nursing Officer – Labour Room provides specialized maternal care during childbirth, monitors fetal and maternal health, assists obstetricians, ensures safe delivery practices, manages emergencies, and supports mothers throughout labor and postnatal recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal vital signs during labor.
- Assist obstetrician during delivery procedures.
- Prepare labour room equipment and instruments.
- Maintain sterile environment for safe deliveries.
- Provide emotional support to expectant mothers.
- Document delivery details and patient records.
- Manage obstetric emergencies with prompt response.
- Ensure newborn immediate care and assessment.
Skill & Experience
- Strong knowledge of obstetric nursing practices.
- Ability to manage high-pressure delivery situations.
