Software Tester
Job Description
Software Tester ensures application quality by finding bugs, validating features, executing test cases, and improving user experience through manual and automated testing.
Responsibilities:
- Review requirements and understand software testing project scope.
- Prepare detailed test cases for functional scenarios.
- Execute manual testing and report defects clearly.
- Perform regression testing after bug fixes regularly.
- Coordinate with developers to resolve identified issues.
- Validate UI, usability, performance, and security basics.
- Maintain test reports, logs, and defect documentation.
- Support automation testing using selected testing tools.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of manual and automation testing.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodology.
- Experience with Selenium, Postman, JIRA, SQL basics.
- Ability to write clear test cases efficiently.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and defect reporting ability.
