Job Description

A Professor or Associate Professor in Community Medicine teaches, researches, and advances public health within academic medical institutions. They bridge clinical practice and population health, training future physicians while conducting epidemiological research and driving evidence-based community health policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures and seminars on community medicine topics.
  • Develop and update curriculum aligned with medical education standards.
  • Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
  • Conduct epidemiological research and publish peer-reviewed academic findings.
  • Design and lead community health programs and field studies.
  • Collaborate with public health bodies on disease prevention initiatives.
  • Serve on academic committees and contribute to institutional governance.
  • Evaluate student performance through assessments, exams, and clinical appraisals.

Skill & Experience

  • Doctoral degree (MBBS, MD, or PhD) in community medicine.
  • Strong research, data analysis, and academic writing capabilities.
  • Deep knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, and public health.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver medical curriculum effectively.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal teaching skills.
  • Experience with community health fieldwork and program evaluation.
