Physician Assistant – OT
Job Description
We are looking for a Physician Assistant (OT) with 2–5 years of experience for Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai. The role involves assisting in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries, performing clinical procedures (graft harvesting, suturing, catheterization, CPR, drain removal, IABP, etc.), managing post-operative care, and handling OT.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during operative procedures maintaining sterile field
- Prepare operation theatre instruments, equipment, and surgical supplies
- Monitor patient vitals throughout preoperative and intraoperative stages
- Support anesthesia team during induction and recovery phases
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols
- Handle surgical instruments accurately during operative procedures
- Maintain operation theatre documentation and surgical records.
Skill & Experience
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and OT protocols
- Excellent teamwork with surgeons, nurses, anesthetists effectively
- Ability to work under pressure during surgeries
- High attention to detail and patient safety
- Effective communication within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Proficiency in sterile techniques and infection prevention.
