Job Description
Ophthalmology Resident provides specialized eye care services, assists in surgeries, diagnoses ocular diseases, manages patient treatments, and gains advanced clinical training in ophthalmic procedures within hospital settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine patients with vision and eye disorders
- Assist consultants during ophthalmic surgical procedures
- Diagnose glaucoma cataract and retinal conditions
- Perform detailed slit lamp eye examinations
- Prescribe medications and corrective lenses appropriately
- Maintain accurate patient medical documentation records
- Participate in emergency ophthalmic case management
- Educate patients about eye health prevention.
Skill & Experience
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmology diagnostic techniques
- Ability to perform microsurgical assistance confidently
- Excellent patient communication and counseling skills
- Skilled in using ophthalmic medical equipment
- Strong clinical decision making under pressure
- Commitment to continuous medical education training.
