Job Description
(Primary Teacher- Key stage 1), A Cover Teacher temporarily steps in when regular teachers are absent, delivering planned lessons to ensure continuity of student learning. They manage classrooms, follow existing lesson plans or curricula, support students’ academic progress, and maintain school discipline and standards. Flexibility and adaptability are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes in absence of regular teachers effectively.
- Deliver lessons as per existing lesson plans.
- Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Support students academically and aid classwork completion.
- Report on student progress to school administration.
- Follow school policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines.
- Adapt teaching to different subjects and age groups.
- Assist with record-keeping, attendance, and administrative duties.
Skill & Experience
- Strong classroom management and behaviour control skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with students.
- Ability to follow and implement predefined lesson plans.
- Flexibility to teach different subjects and age levels.
- Organisation and punctuality in lesson and record management.
