Job Description
The Commonwealth Regional Climate Finance Adviser supports Indo-Pacific nations in mobilizing climate finance, designing sustainable funding strategies, strengthening institutional capacity, and aligning projects with global climate policies and investment frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop climate finance strategies for regional member countries
- Facilitate access to international climate funds and investments
- Provide technical advisory on sustainable finance frameworks implementation
- Strengthen institutional capacity for climate project development initiatives
- Coordinate with governments, donors, and multilateral development agencies
- Monitor climate finance flows and evaluate program effectiveness regularly
- Support policy alignment with global climate agreements and standards
- Prepare reports, proposals, and funding documentation for stakeholders.
Skill & Experience
- Strong knowledge of climate finance mechanisms and policies
- Expertise in international development finance and funding institutions
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural communication skills required
- Analytical skills for evaluating financial models and project viability
- Experience in policy advisory and climate-related project management
- Ability to design scalable, sustainable financing solutions effectively.
