Job Description

The Commonwealth Regional Climate Finance Adviser supports Indo-Pacific nations in mobilizing climate finance, designing sustainable funding strategies, strengthening institutional capacity, and aligning projects with global climate policies and investment frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop climate finance strategies for regional member countries
  • Facilitate access to international climate funds and investments
  • Provide technical advisory on sustainable finance frameworks implementation
  • Strengthen institutional capacity for climate project development initiatives
  • Coordinate with governments, donors, and multilateral development agencies
  • Monitor climate finance flows and evaluate program effectiveness regularly
  • Support policy alignment with global climate agreements and standards
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and funding documentation for stakeholders.

Skill & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of climate finance mechanisms and policies
  • Expertise in international development finance and funding institutions
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural communication skills required
  • Analytical skills for evaluating financial models and project viability
  • Experience in policy advisory and climate-related project management
  • Ability to design scalable, sustainable financing solutions effectively.
