University of Sharjah

The University of Sharjah (UoS), founded in October 1997 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, is one of the leading higher education institutions in the United Arab Emirates. It was established to serve the educational and developmental needs of Sharjah and the broader Gulf region. The university is recognized for its vision of academic excellence, research innovation, cultural values, and global collaboration.

The university’s main business lies in providing accredited undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across a wide range of disciplines. With more than 15 colleges, it covers fields such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Business, Law, Fine Arts, Communication, Computing, and Social Sciences. UoS also focuses strongly on research, innovation, and community engagement, supported by advanced laboratories, libraries, theatres, a medical complex, and the Sharjah Centre for Astronomy and Space Sciences.

UoS operates its main campus in University City, Sharjah, with additional branches in Khor Fakkan, Kalba, Al Dhaid, and Dibba Al Hisn.
