About Candidate
William Cianci Cover Letter ~
To Whom It May Concern, With over 25 years of experience driving operational excellence across diverse portfolios, I am writing to express my interest in the Manager-Facilities and Sustainability position. My career is defined by a dual focus: maintaining high-performance through direct mechanical oversight and executing complex, multi-million dollar capital projects that align with long-term organizational goals. Most recently, as the Property and Construction Project Director for CSJP, I have overseen a multifaceted portfolio ranging from long-term care facilities to historic urban assets. I pride myself on being a hands-on leader who navigates the technical nuances of MEP systems, HVAC optimization, and central plant operations. I do not just manage contracts; I possess the mechanical aptitude to diagnose system failures, oversee complex equipment retrofits, and ensure peak energy efficiency. My background includes significant achievements that mirror the demands of high-stakes facility management: • Mechanical & Infrastructure Oversight: I have personally spearheaded the construction and maintenance of mission-critical data centers and distribution hubs. My expertise includes managing redundant power systems (UPS/Generators), advanced BMS platforms, and security protocols to ensure 24/7 uptime. • Strategic Portfolio Management: At Eisai Inc., I managed a 400K+ sq. ft. headquarters. I achieved substantial cost savings not only through vendor auditing but by implementing preventative maintenance programs that extended the lifecycle of major mechanical assets. • Technical Problem Solving: I am adept at translating engineering challenges into actionable facility strategies, ensuring that LEED-aligned green initiatives and HVAC upgrades are both technically sound and fiscally responsible. I am a “working director” who is as comfortable troubleshooting in the mechanical room as I am advising the CFO. I am eager to bring this blend of “wrench-in-hand” technical expertise and high-level strategic leadership to your team. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to discussing how my experience can continue benefit the Sisters. Sincerely, William Cianci 973.832.8444 billcianci@gmail.com
