Chandigarh University

Chandigarh University (CU), established in 2012 under an act of the Punjab State Legislature, is a private research-intensive university located in Gharuan, Mohali, near Chandigarh. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission and accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC.

The university’s main focus is to blend professional and academic excellence through a wide array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. It offers courses across engineering, management, computing, design, law, pharmacy, architecture, media, liberal arts, and science. CU operates nearly 18 specialized schools and follows an interdisciplinary learning model designed to provide both theoretical and practical exposure.

Chandigarh University is widely known for its strong placement and industry linkage ecosystem. Leading global companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, IBM, Deloitte, and TCS regularly recruit students from CU. In 2023–24, it recorded more than 9,000 placement offers with domestic packages as high as ₹54.75 LPA and international offers reaching up to ₹1.7 crore. Other top recruiters include Infosys, Wipro, Flipkart, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs.

With over 300 international collaborations spanning 60 countries, CU provides opportunities for student exchange, dual-degree programs, and joint research. Its primary campus is located in Mohali, with an additional campus recently opened in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh.
