Job Description
Software Tester validates software quality by identifying bugs, executing test cases, reporting defects, and ensuring applications meet functional, performance, usability, and business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review requirements and understand application testing scope clearly.
- Prepare test cases based on business requirements.
- Execute manual and automated test scenarios accurately.
- Identify, document, and track software defects properly.
- Coordinate with developers for defect resolution updates.
- Perform regression testing after fixes and releases.
- Validate functionality, usability, compatibility, and performance standards.
- Maintain testing reports, logs, and quality documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of software testing life cycle.
- Experience in manual testing and bug reporting.
- Understanding of automation tools like Selenium preferred.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Familiarity with Agile, Jira, and test management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
