Job Description
An Optometrist is a licensed eye care professional specializing in vision testing, diagnosing eye conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing preventive eye healthcare services for patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for patients
- Diagnose vision problems and eye diseases
- Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, medications
- Detect glaucoma, cataracts, retinal abnormalities early
- Provide pre and post-operative vision care
- Educate patients about eye health practices
- Maintain accurate patient examination records
- Refer complex cases to ophthalmologists promptly.
