Actively participate in annual and periodic budget reviews with hospital operations, critically
evaluating assumptions related to patient volumes, service mix, staffing costs, and operating
expenses to ensure reasonableness, consistency, and alignment with organizational
objectives.
Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) by preparing financial analytics, trend analysis,
and performance commentary for senior management, enabling informed operational and
financial decision-making.
Lead and coordinate period-end and year-end financial closing activities, including accruals,
prepayments, reconciliations, and review of balances, ensuring timely and accurate closure in
compliance with IFRS and internal accounting standards.
Prepare and review statutory financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness,
appropriate disclosures, and proper presentation in accordance with IFRS, regulatory
requirements, and organizational Finance & Accounting policies.
Analyze periodic financial results, revenues, costs, and operational KPIs, identifying variances,
cost drivers, and efficiency opportunities, and provide value-adding insights to hospital
operations and senior finance leadership.
Prepare timely and accurate management reports and financial dashboards, coordinating
closely with Business Operations to ensure management information requirements are fully
addressed.
Execute assigned Business Finance activities, ensuring tasks are properly authorized, wellcoordinated,
and delivered as planned in line with finance governance frameworks.
Implement and monitor compliance with internal controls, finance policies, and accounting
procedures; identify deviations and coordinate corrective actions with relevant finance and
operational stakeholders.
Act as a key point of contact for financial, accounting, and reporting matters between
Finance, Operations, FP&A, Treasury, Internal Audit, and other corporate finance functions.
Coordinate with external auditors by preparing audit schedules, supporting analyses,
reconciliations, and responding to audit queries; actively participate in audit discussions and
resolution of findings throughout the audit cycle.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including enhancements to reporting
processes, strengthening financial procedures, and supporting updates to Finance &
Accounting policies and manuals.
Support organizational governance, risk management, cost-control, and compliance
initiatives, ensuring alignment with healthcare regulatory, quality, safety, and internal policy
requirements.
