About Candidate
Dear Hiring Manager,
I was a master’s student at Jönköping University in the area of Product Development and Materials Engineering, and I am also holding a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. The only work left for getting my master’s degree is writing the thesis.
Regarding the reason for me to make this application, firstly I believe that I can think analytically. About the technical side, I am fluent in CATIA V5 for both part design and surface design as well as assemblies. I can give tolerances to the drawings depending on ISO standards as well as knowing GD&T. I can use Abaqus FEA solver fluently to make real-life-based simulations. I can use MATLAB and its built-in simulation program Simulink. I took lessons in C++ and Visual Basic and passed them with good grades and I can use codes for internal or external design automation (such as the macro VBA module in CATIA). I still can not say I am a software developer, and if I need to be honest I can’t write codes as fluently as them, but I have at least an idea about the logic behind writing codes and I wrote some long codes regarding topics in mechanical engineering. I can use Granta (CES EduPack) to select materials and I also have deep knowledge about materials. I am familiar with product development tools (e.g. DFMEA, DFMA). Moreover, since the job requires excellent English skills, I can guarantee that my communication skills in English are not by any means different than my native language both orally and written.
Studying my bachelor’s in a multicultural country and also studying in Sweden’s most multicultural school, my communication skills are excellent with everybody with various backgrounds regarding religion, sexual orientation, or ethnicity. I can work in a group as long as they are passionate aboutwhat they are doing. I did many presentations in front of people and I don’t get stressed doing it. While preparing my assignments or presentations I also used a good variety of MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have some knowledge of PhotoShop. The last but not the least, I did an internship at my school’s solar car project.
In conclusion, I trust in myself, and I believe in my abilities and the passion I have. Concordantly, I will be appreciated it if I get any chance to prove myself. I know that I will develop new skills that the job requires, but I am also sure that I will still be beneficial to your company while learning new things.
Regards,
Anil
