Job Description

Geography Teacher educates students about physical and human geography, environmental systems, and global interdependence. They design lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster critical thinking by connecting map skills, climate change, and cultural insights. They inspire curiosity about Earth’s landscapes and humanity’s role in them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons for all grades.
  • Use maps, globes, and GIS tools to teach concepts.
  • Assess student understanding through quizzes and projects.
  • Develop fieldwork exercises to explore real-world geography.
  • Encourage environmental awareness and sustainable thinking in students.
  • Integrate current global issues into classroom discussions.
  • Provide feedback and support for student academic growth.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to enrich interdisciplinary lessons.

Skill & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of physical, human, and environmental geography.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling to simplify geographic concepts.
  • Classroom management and lesson-planning for diverse learners.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate spatial data and student work.
  • Ability to design interactive and experiential geography activities.
  • Passion for geography and motivating students’ curiosity.
