Assistant Accountant – Job Description
The Assistant Accountant provides support to the finance and accounts department by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting in audits. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and a good understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
Process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense vouchers.
Support in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
Assist with payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
Maintain filing systems for financial documents.
Provide support to the senior accountant and finance manager in daily operations.
